Deleting your account

Version 1.0. In force from 21 August 2026.

You can delete your MSRA Mate account, and the information held with it, at any time. You do not need to install anything to ask for it.

From the app

Open the app and go to Settings, then Account, then Your data. Choose to delete your account, and confirm when you are asked.

If you cannot sign in

Write to contact@msramate.com from the email address on the account and ask for it to be deleted. We may need to ask you something first to be satisfied that the account is yours.

What happens

We complete deletions within one month of the request.

When it completes, your account and the information held with it are erased. That covers your email address and profile, your answers, progress, streaks and study history, your saved items, highlights and notes, your devices, the subscription record we hold, and the usage events recorded against you.

Two things do not simply disappear. Reports you sent us about questions are kept so that the fault stays fixed for everyone else, with anything you wrote removed and nothing left linking the report to you. And records we are required by law to keep, in particular records of payments held for tax and accounting purposes, are kept by us and by our payment provider for as long as the law requires.

Deletion is final. We cannot restore an account or its history afterwards, so download a copy of your information first if you want one: Settings, then Your data, then download.

Deleting your account does not by itself cancel a subscription bought through an app store. Cancel that in the store account you bought it from.
